Inter-Departmental Committee Meeting of 5 July 2017
On Wednesday 5 July, the Department of the Prime Minister & Cabinet is bringing together government agencies delivering commitments under Australia’s first Open Government National Action Plan to discuss progress and next steps.
Much has happened in this time: most notably, the release of the Plan itself. This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss key developments, such as the new guidance for agencies delivering Open Government commitments that was agreed to by the Interim Working Group in May, and an in-depth update on the Industry Department’s work to develop a government-wide framework to improve public participation and engagement. Committee members will also be updated on the establishment of the Open Government Forum and the new OGP Australia website currently under construction.
Agencies will provide short snapshots on the progress of the delivery of their Open Government commitments, including successes, learnings and opportunities.
