Open Government Partnership – Australia

All countries which have signed up to the Open Government Partnership (OGP) are required to engage in the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) process. The IRM produces annual independent progress reports that assess the development and implementation of the OGP national action plan and progress in fulfilling open government principles.

Daniel Stewart – a senior lecturer from the ANU College of Law  - has been appointed as the IRM researcher for Australia. Mr Stewart is interested in hearing from civil society organisations and individuals and will hold open invitation meetings in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. The meetings will provide the opportunity to discuss the process and development of the National Action Plan and its implementation to date.
