Open Government Forum Meeting - 12 April 2018

Open Government ForumNational Action Plan 2 - 2018 – 2020
6th April 2018

The Open Government Forum will meet next Thursday 12 April 2018 in Melbourne to discuss a number of matters, including prospective priority themes and commitments for Australia's next Open Government National Action Plan.

An agenda and papers for the meeting are available below. Minutes will be published after the meeting.

Peter Timmins

No mention in the Agenda or papers of Open Government Week,7-11 May, promoted by the OGP as a "global call to action to transform the way governments serve their citizens,"and encouraging government and civil society to organise events to "discuss solutions and commit to new levels of citizen participation in government." https://www.opengovweek.org/ I wrote to the Forum Co-chairs last week asking if government has plans and suggesting we explore possibilities. A public statement from the PM that his government is serious about open government reform, is interested in what the citizenry have to say on the subject, and will give suggestions close consideration would get things off to a good start. Look forward to an early response Peter Timmins Interim Convener Australian Open Government Partnership Network
